IPSC - International Practical Shooting Confederation

Dilgentia, Vis, Celeritas - Accuracy, Power, Speed is the international motto of practical shooting.
Matches consist of 'stages' where a the shooter uses a combination of techniques to engage
multiple targets, moving targets, targets that react when hit, penalty targets, or even partially covered targets,
obstacles, movement, competitive strategies, and other techniques are all a part of IPSC shooting
to keep the athletes challenged and the spectators entertained.


Action Shooting - NRA

Action shooting like IPSC uses speed and accuracy to keep competitors on edge,
with many stages to be completed within a short time limit.


C.A.S - Cowboy Action Shooting

Shot to international rules (Single Action Shooting Society, S.A.S.S) using firearms
from the late 1800's to more modern 1900's firing black powder and smokeless cartridges.
Dressing the part of a cowboy or early NZ pioneer is a mandatory requirement and
whole families are involved in this fun sport.


ISSF - International Shooting Sports Federation

Precision shooting with some rapid fire matches, ISSF is the only pistol sport represented
at the Olympic and Commonwealth Games, NZ has had ISSF shooters at the Commonwealth Games
for the past 30years and are our shooters are regularly in the medals.


H.M.S - Handgun Metallic Silhouette

Long Range pistol shooting, involving animal silhouette targets at ranges up to 200m


Muzzle Loading - Black Powder

Matches are held for flintlock pistols, percussion pistols and revolvers, both originals and modern designs.
