All shooters who are members of NZPA-affiliated pistol clubs in New Zealand are required to pay an annual levy of $70. This fee goes towards the management of our sport in New Zealand and is levied as an additional charge on members by their club, usually at club membership fee renewal time. |

The Howick Pistol Club only participates in the 'Action Shooting' disciplines, mainly based around NZ Service Pistol Match and IPSC (or Practical Pistol Shooting). Both of these pistol shooting disciplines involve holster work and engaging targets The training provided by Howick Pistol Club instructors is structured around these Action Shooting disciplines. |

ISSF, CAS or other pistols shooting disciplines are not catered for at the Howick Pistol Club. Likewise black powder pistol shooting is not approved at the Howick Range. |
